Anne McClintock Ph.D, Dip Ed, DipSD (RSAMDA), ACP
Ann has exhibited in galleries in UK, France, Denmark, USA and Canada. She has work in many private collections. She lectures to the Embroiderers Guild and runs community workshops. Her current passion is silver and glass jewellery and embroidered textile collages.
Her drama work inspired a love of texture in stage costumes. Her Ph.D examined how creative activities enhance the lives of people with disabilities.
Her embroideries use pigmented fabric dye and beads, etc. to provide surface texture, inspired by the natural beauty surrounding her home in Argyll. Similar themes emerge in her jewellery where kiln-fired glass combines with pearls, etc. to texture fused silver.
