Anne Morrison DA
I found clay at seventeen, and since it has defined my life.
I studied ceramics at Glasgow School of Art, and live in Bearsden, Glasgow. I work mainly in raku fired ceramics and sculptures using driftwood and found objects.
The seashore has inspired me since childhood where beachcombing finds are my starting point. From discarded items I create something new invoking the theme of decay and renewal.
I am a founder member of the Scottish Potters Association, Artist member of Paisley Art Institute and the Glasgow Society of Woman Artists, where I am currently serving as President.
I have received a number of prestigious awards from the RGI and PAI.
