Simone Whiteford is an applied artist with a background in Architecture, Landscaping, Design and & Construction. Simone uses modern technologies e.g. laser cutting, water jet cutting and 3d printing to create her framed and free standing sculptural work. Simone defines her work as Conceptual Serialism and has an interest in Surrealism and the unexpected. Her work can be seen at annual exhibitions, solo exhibitions and in several galleries throughout Scotland. in 2016 she was awarded The Bessie Scott Award followed by the Art Hire Framing Award in 2017 at the Paisley Art Institute Annual Exhibition. In summer 2017. She was an artist in residence at the Maclaurin gallery in Rozelle House, Ayr.
